The Talking Tree
Once there was a talking tree;
Who stood upon the grass;
He boasts & boasts, is never free;
He boasts to all who pass;
Be it a squirrel, be it a bird;
Be it even a spill of my curd;
He would always stop it for a chat;
and then would boast about this & that;
This annoyed everyone so they hope that soon,
The talking tree would meet his doom;
Yes, and it happened in a storm,
But the tree was standing strong,
And boasted to some little weeds,
"how you keep bowing to the wind as it blows with speed"
They ignored him, and the wind;
Uprooted him and he met his end;
But wait! Don't go just yet,
The moral: Never boast or who knows
What you might get!
