The Poem

Today, oh such a day,
I was feeling blue,
My mum banned me from my dearest books
I didn't know what to do
For my books made up half my life,
I cannot live without them
And since I missed them,
I wrote a poem about them.
I showed it to my mum with pride,
She didn't know what to say.
As I fell asleep, I flashed a smile
For it was the end of the horrid day!!
